mf 135 axle

Hiya.
I have a great 1967 mf 135,tidy condition.
I want to grease the front axle /trunnion,but can't find a grease nipple . Should it have one? Am sure it should.Cant beat a bit of grease to keep the squeaks down!
I have a more 'modern' mf 240- 1990 vintage which has a different axle configuration. This has nipples front and rear of the trunnion.
Should I just drill out and pop some nipples in or do without.
Can't find any diagrams to help me.
TIA.

Jack it up to enough undo bolt pull pin out grease it up slide it back in
Also grease the balls on the axle stay bars undo them slightly squirt some in makes the worrld of difference

While your on with axle fit a new bush if its worn they just knock in an out easy
The grease nipples came in on straight axels

Well I didn't know that. Thought it must've snapped off! Front axle was overhauled a lil while ago with new bits n bobs - kingpins, bearings, hubs,,trunnion etc. It originally had a loader on,for cleaning sheds out, moving bales etc, manual trip, took it off as didn't want to totally wreck the tractor with bales getting heavier, abused with silage bales rather than hay. It is now a usable, practical machine again after a tidy up. Not front line tractor by any means now,but handy fetch n carry carrier with pallet forks on back..
Long live the frugal fergies!
Thankyou for the replies and help.
