Hi
I am having problems with the hydraulics when I move The quadrant lever's up I am losing pressure through the pressure control diaphragm henceforth there is no pressure to move the arms.
Could this be a problem with the linkage
Any help would be appreciated
Regards Mel

Replace the stand pipe with a standard one and fit a relieve valve on the pump in place of the blanking plug, unless you use the pressure control it a bloody pest .
Hi
Thanks
I think that's The route I am going to go down has its been nothing but trouble .
I thought someone might know of an easy fix.

We had a 165 with PC and the pump would rattle and bang as if it was just on the verge of blowing off, fitted a new pump thinking that was the cause but it didn't help. Did the above and cured the problem. It might be possible to fit a new relief valve through the pto side cover but the stand pipe has an attachment that seems to anchor it likely be a lift cover off.

Why does pressure control cause the pumps to rattle so much our 565 does it .

Yes definitely lift cover of The lift pipe has a steel block on it where a pipe branches out and down to the pressure control valve
I only use the tractor for splitting logs and topping pasture so I am thinking pressure control Will be more trouble than it is Worth.

They seem to be worse when they get a fair bit of wear on them but i am not a mechanic somebody on here should know .
I think your problly Right so I have decided to replace the linkage.
So I Will need to remove the quadrant lever's I have located the small threaded hole where you take out the screw their doesn't appear to be one in there would it be a Small grub screw

1/4" or 5/16" ?

You will find some on the engine, but if you want a bit of length (to fit through the socket and washer to pull the pin) I'm not sure where to look on the tractor. The chances of it drawing out without heat, will probably be slim?

If you cut a slot in the bolt at right angles to the threads (just on one side) with a bit of WD40 or diesel, you can clean the threads, if needed.
