If you cut a slot in the bolt at right angles to the threads (just on one side) with a bit of WD40 or diesel, you can clean the threads, if needed.
Many thanks for that tip I Will bear in mind for the future
It would appear that metric thread's are very similar to unf
A 6 mm bolt fitted nicely so with plenty of heat and quenching with Cold water it came out easily
The problem I have now is getting the quadrant out I have got it to move out about 5mm
Now it won't come out any further although I can turn it quite easily

i am getting no pressure to the lift arms and pressure his being released through the relief valve i am thinking this could be a problem with the pump control valve any thoughts on this would be appreciated

Cant remember if the transfer plate on top of the lift cover can be fitted wrong way around or not but worth a look. You may have a selector valve fitted make sure the shaft on the red leaver follows the cam .

The transfer plate can be fitting the wrong way round checked mine it his the right way round
Where would the selector valve be fitted?
I am wondering could I have received a faulty relief valve
