MF 165 Duple Fibre Glass Cab

Aye-up,

Can anyone provide me with pictures of said cab fitted to a tractor?

I'm having my late Dads 165 restored. We have a cab, mostly complete but a few bits missing. Trevor Rose is doing the work and needs reference pics inside and out, especially where the cab meets the wings.

Many thanks.

Cheers, Pete.

I hope he makes a bloody sight better job painting it than he did my 1494 a few years ago

sent all the tinwork back the wrong colour with the pock marks from the shotblasting still visible on most of it. It wasnt even shiny, god know what paint he used, certainly wasnt the 2 tins of Case red i provided him with, he reckoned it wasnt as good as the 2k he was using

first time i washed it the whole lot went pink as the paint started running off the bonnet.

You call this ok? This was what it looked like after each time it was washed with cold water and a weakish solution of traffic film remover. It then used to take another half a day with a rotary buffer and some compound to bring it back. After about 3 years i had polished all the red off and was down to the primer.

it then got painted properly by ourselves, using the right colour enamel paint. Never, ever let anyone else do paintwork for me since!

Note in this pic the bottom side panel has been polished to the colour it was when he sent the panels back...odd looking Case red aint it!!!
