Hi just looking for some pointers, have bought a 265, it's a sankey cab 8 speed model with independent pto. It has no spool valves but has what looks like 2 banjo fittings and a manifold next to pto lever. Can I buy a set of 600 series spools off a breaker to fit? Do I need a filter or relief valve? Many thanks in advance.

Get a spool with a pressure relief valve and at least 3 work sections. If possible one work section to have a float fuction so you can operate a single acting cylinder. A return filter would be ideal but not sure were you wound install it.

Yes you can feed spools from the rear fitting and return in to the front fitting. You won't need a relief valve as there is on on the pump. You won't need a filter either. Oil will be returned in to the back end then filtered before it goes into the pump. Both fittings are 3/4" jic.
Be careful when removing the original banjo bolts as the fittings in the side won't be fixed after the manifold is removed. You will see threads on both pipes and you will need to fit some thin nuts to fix the fitting to the side cover.
