MF 290 Loader Problem

@Pennine Ploughing. There are 2 pipes to the tipping ram and 1 to each lifting ram. Lever feels OK.

@REStracTORATION. I guess you mean these couplers to use as blanking plugs? I don't have any spares but I'm sure I'll find something to fit. Got loads of tubs of old bolts.

Thanks to all.

yes i was on the wrong track it was my fault for not reading it properly,
just drive into the heap of muck with loader on the ground,, stop tractor, remove the 2 pipes to the crowd ram lift loarder
if ram moves to tip it out, them internal leak in ram, if it dont tip. its tractor end,

just set loader on ground to connect pipes back up, might be some pressure in them slacken to ease presssure off

Muck is all gone now (after a bit of difficulty) but I see where you're all coming from. Will do some more diagnosis tomorrow with some concrete blocks and report back. Thanks again.

Then plug pipes back into the tipping ram to use as blanking plugs? Sorry but not quite getting that bit? @agrimax said to blank of tipping ram pipes and see if it still drops. Yes = ram. No = spool valve.
If you remove pipes at the ram end thus leaving ram open you need to blank the outlets off hence using couplers!

Or leave pipe connected to ram and just uncouple the couplings as if your were removing the loader off tractor

Is that clearer

Think you have it sussed now but I was assuming the ram to have been connected directly to the spool valve and not through couplers. As it is,male ends on the pipes when unplugged will act as blanking plugs. Unplug them, lift load and see what becomes.............
It was the blanking plugs that threw me. I can't wait to try it. I might go and do it now! Anyway, it's probably the ram which looks easy enough to remove. I just hope it's not too expensive to repair.

Go on just un plug them quick and easy

The ram will come off easy of the line will be seized then have fun with that one

that ram is piped into outlet 1 and 2. swap those 2 pipes over and try again. the lever will work the opposite way but if it dosent creep you have a faulty oring on you single/double acting tap or the tap isnt tightened right up it the knob below the spool lever
