Mf 3095 hydraulic /steering problem

The old girl had the back end oil and filters changed early in the year but at the start of harvest the hydraulics locked, found out about the switches underneath so managed to get home,we now have another problem this time with the steering, initially it was a bit notchy but now it will turn itself either left or right depending which side of centre it is ? whats the thoughts ( the brakes perhaps arnt brilliant could that be related?Ive cut open the back end filter nothing in it as such)

Danfoss unit is knackered, usually caused by brake filings but you might be lucky and it's just old age!

Whats the danfoss,where is it and whats a replacement likely to cost?

The Danfoss is the orbital steering unit found on the end of the steering column. A rough price £450.00!

change the inline filter under the righthand step first even if it looks ok they soon block and cause problems

There is a cheaper option but the fittings are wrong, we had some adaptors made up.

Do your brakes first!!!

Massey breaker will probably sort you with a orbital unit but do as he says and change that little filter first

When you mean little filter ,I changed the pencil filter the other day and it didn't make any difference other than the transmission filter have I missed one?
Would you fit a secondhand unit?

Your link takes me to a generic page for some reason, but i find it when searching using the same Massey part no for the orbitrol from AGCO Parts Book (3384675). If so €142 seems pretty cheap for one....

Edit to say that won't be for a genuine Danfoss orbitrol but an M+S unit from Bulgaria.

My steering is okay but the orbital is hissing a lot. New seal kit needed?

Unless you know what you are doing. I'd scrap it and by a new one. If it's a Danfoss unit, you will be able to get either a new one or a quality replacement.

Any companies out there that reseal? Seems to hiss more when the oil is hot. I will replace if needed but I always like to repair if possible

The only company I use is B & N Hyds.

Probably a weak or broken spring in the danfoss unit if you ever take one apart they have to be timed when put back together. And as a precaution keep hands away from the steering wheel when you start tractor as it can spin if it's assembled wrong.
