Have got a 399 that's now on 16.9 R38 on rear and 13.6 R28 on front and it's ready for a fresh set what sizes have people put on them? Will 600/60 R38 be a bit OTT? Pictures would be handy thanks in advance [emoji106]

its not how they look that important. its what weight you want to carry and pressure you want to run them at.
I know what you mean, the boss has always wanted one just got it and giving it a refurb will only be doing light ish jobs on farm as much as it shudnt looks will play a big part

18.4 r 38's and 14.9r28's are the way to have as its such a light tractor any how's as would be maybe two thirds the weight of a modern 100ish HP 6 cylinder machine and the 4wd drop box won't be up to any larger rubber as its a weak point.

399 oooh tractor porn. Iv never been bothered by masseys but 399s are a machine iv always fancied having. Oh and i think 18.4s or possibly 520s are the biggest to go for on one.

I would go for it I think the 600s will make it into a proper tractor I would go for a 600/65r38 if it will fit under arches. I had a 6270 on 18.4s then changed it to 600/65r38 michelin xm108s and it changed it from a jumpy horrible tractor into the best tractor I've ever had pulled a 5 furrow kv plough a treat it was under powered but never lost grip
