MF 4270 Brake Job

2000 model year 4WD tractor

I have lost all brake pressure on the right and have just a bit on the left. The master cylinder empties out in 4 days time.

The dealer figures it's an internal leak and said to get the billfold ready.

I don't see any leaks at the master cylinder and have traced the lines, and there is nothing visible.

Any insight on pinpointing the leak would be appreciated.

slave cylinder is internal it will be bu-gered £150 each genuine its the time getting there and back out that runs the bill up

Considering it's much the same axle as a 100 series, the brake actuator used to be pulled by a rod on the outside then they went to hyd brakes with the slave cyl on the outside which you could change in 1/2 an hour. Then they went on to make the job much more complicated.

I would check the seal in the trailer brake valve first before checking the slave cylinders. It easy to strip down.
