Having problems with charging, checking earth points. Have cleaned the 1 beside the battery and the 1 beside the alternator. Is there any others? I put a new alternator on her and made no difference. Any other ideas?

Mine doesnt look worn, has new belts and theyr tight, il look at that tomorrow. @dee Do yiu have any suggestionsI had charging issues with our 4270. It was the pulley on the alternator that was worn out. Even though it was turning and seemed ok, it wasn't charging properly until replaced.
An issue on the 5610 as well. The pulley has a sprag bearing clutch which wears out.I had charging issues with our 4270. It was the pulley on the alternator that was worn out. Even though it was turning and seemed ok, it wasn't charging properly until replaced.
Yes light doesnt go out properly, so just fully check the largest wire on the alternator right back to the starter?Dash light working? Continuity between alternator feed wire and battery or top of starter solenoid? Seen lots of tractor where wire has burned off in the crimp on the starter solenoid
Yes or right back to wherever it goes. Easy test would be jump lead from alternator to battery positive, you could earth the alternator with a jump lead aswell and even bypass the charging light by substituting it for a light probe tester. Croc clip to live and probe on alternator small wire.Yes light doesnt go out properly, so just fully check the largest wire on the alternator right back to the starter?
With engine off, ignition on and small wire disconnected light should be off. If it stays on or is dim the loom is earthin aomewhere elseNever tried disconnecting it, will try later. If it does what does that mean?
