Hi our 2006 mf5460 had an intermittent heater fan problem that now ir permanent it’s not working on any of the 4 settings I checked the fuse & it’s not blown but there’s no power going into the fuse at all is there a connection block somewhere that could be making a bad connection?any advice would be appreciated thanks.

Actually just went through this on a 4355 - I know not the exact same tractor, but if you too have the high vis cab it actually uses all of the same setup and possibly parts. What had happened to mine was one of the fans had burnt up and caused the relay contacts to over heat and finally killed the relay. The 50 amp fuse under the roof panel was still intact and not blown but one motor was gone and the relay fried. I installed a new motor and relay and now everything working great. Sounds exactly like what you've got going on. You'll need a ladder, 10mm socket preferably on a electric tool of some sort and a phillips bit driver also preferably on some sort of electric tool. The relay is a 5 prong hd one...

Also highly, highly recommend using oe parts for replacement motors or you'll regret it like I did ://

The relay and fuse are right next to the fans - pita to get to everything - makes perfect sense to me for them to be up there??????

Also looked up the standard roof version - only uses 1 of the same fans and just states that the relay is part of the harness? Guess it's hide and seek for that one?

Thanks I’ve just changed the resistor in the roof panel beside the fan is there an additional relay too? I just checked the fuse panel last night & the fuse f14 is good but there’s no power going in to this fuse holder I feel there’s a connection joint somewhere that is not good as it used to stop/start when you hit a bump on the road (cab mounts maybe worn)

It says there is a specific relay for it. Some of the photos showed it with the fuse in the roof like the high vis one, but the lower notation in the manual AC one just stated it was in with the harness somewhere? Vague, right? I know Massey seems to like to hide them around the heater boxes for some stupid reason. It should be right around the heater or in behind the b-pillar I would think.

Mine came and went with ignition cycles and driving. Would have to cycle the key several times before it would ever start up and then may hit a bump and it would stop, but if your mounts are gone it's possible I guess to have broken wires underneath possibly causing ground problems, but you should have more not working than just the fan motor. When the relay or switch connection - as far as that goes - screws up you lose AC compressor turning on and blower motor.

Thanks I managed to find the relay earlier & swapped it with the radio relay & then it worked great thanks for the help, the relay & 50 amp fuse are positioned behind the right hand panel opposite the fuse box panel forward or the steering wheel.

Jobs right! I had that with the air con relay on a 5465. I swapped the relay and it clicked away grand! I suppose the relays only have a limited life unless there is a problem causing too much draw on them?

Which of the relays is the one for the heater
