MF 550 PTO turning all the time

Thanks for your help. Don't know whether I'm brave enough to do all that though. Might just do as above and put a cover over it and forget about it

It's not difficult. The hardest part is being bothered to start.

I suffer from that more than most!

I find starting easy enough, getting to put it all back together again can be challenging

Need to strip and back the same day or maybe two, if it goes more than a week, might never go back ............
And the "easy jobs" are the worst ...............

Just as an aside the pto lever shown in the picture are the same for IPTO and standard PTO just a slightly different quadrant with rear and forward positions.

Managed through the side though it wasn't easy

Will the tractor run if the diesel pipes are switched around. Cut them taking the fuel tank off now it's leaking diesel where it wasn't before.

It's leaking where I didn't touch which is making me wonder if they're back to front but the tractor runs well apart from that.

Leaking from the 90 elbow in picture fuel pipes just above it but it's not coming from them

Them pipes are different sizes feed is larger return smaller
Them rubber pipes i presume you mean
And not what your screwdriver is pointing to thats hydraulic fluid pipe

Dry the area off well with a rag and watch for the source of the leak, they always leak after a disturbance.
If you have it cornered all but that .............

Well its leaking where the screwdriver is so must be both. I can smell diesel as well. Should i take fuel pipes off and put some tape over the ends before putting them back together?

Them fuel pipes on the screw fittings i think either an brass olive or rubber olive you can try tape
Check the rubber pipes are on far enough over the formed part of the metal pipe
