So many people use the tractor, all for short periods of time, nobody wants to take any responsibility

Yep, lack of preventative maintenace is a real issue, but most would rather just pay the problem away..... but all moan if fees go up.....

Only ever had to bleed the injection pump points on the 590. A nut on the end of a cotton string for a fuel gauge!

That's one option and how others operate but it means volunteers to spend weekends tractor driving it's what is done for big events but not general use and with 7 day a week access would be problematic


I think the answer is preventative Maintenance a working fuel Gauge and some better training.

You can't see the fuel level through the filler on a 590, because there is a relatively long and bendy pipe up from the saddle-mounted tank to the filler cap just below the rear lower window.

Unskilled and unsupervised drivers should not be allowed anywhere near a tractor. Its a potential death trap apart from any cost implications.
