Not a simple one, the pump needs to be taken off to adjust the fuelling. We had ours done, took the pump to local specialist. We never dyno'd it after so don't know how much extra power we achieved. It was better, but still a bit lack lustre. Very reliable and pleasant to drive though.

I done the same. Sent it to a specialist. Got injectors done up to, done the head and set tappets as well. Running lovely now, but still think she cud do with more piff.

Our 6260 was flat as a fart. Everyone said it needed a turbo on it. A family friend turned up one day and took the pump top cover off and turned a screw. It went alot better after, with loads more staying power. It has done 4000 odd hours since.

What screw? And clockwise or anti. How many turns? Cheers
It's a long time since I got mine done me and my mechanic done it, so from memory there is only one adjustment under the top cover
Mine had bent a small lever in there that the adjustment screw worked against so I had to get a new one fitted
I can't remember which way to adjust it
Before we done any adjustment we ran the tractor up a hill as fast as it would go and noted what gear and what speed it was doing at a certain point then adjusted the screw by one turn and noted the difference, you will soon know if you have gone the right way as it will go better if you have
Sorry I can't be more help but it must be 10 years since we done it

I wouldn't like to say which way to turn it or by how much, the chap who did mine worked for CAT (formally perkins) engines in shrews. I remember him saying there is an access port on the block side of the pump, but obviously you can't get to it. So top off, you will soon see which bolt, as its opposite the blanked off port. I recall it being a very small bronze coloured bolt with a 4 or 5 mm (iirc) head. He just adjusted it, reassembled it and said try that. It's never been touched since.

As @Henarar says, it may be a case of trial and error one turn at a time.
