MF 6400 top speed limiter

I've a tier 2 mf 6465 40k Dyna 6 tractor and I was wondering is there a way of getting it to rev flat out in top gear. I've heard they can be reprogrammed for smaller wheels allowing the engine to rev higher, don't know if this is true. Is it electronically limited from the Speedo reading? Someone once said on here you can pull out the fuse which powers the dash and it stops the limiter in top gear but I don't fancy driving without dash info. There must be some way around this?

Thanks for the advice, I do long runs when delivering straw and grain to customers. Don't tend to drive harshly and I'm the only driver, i thought it be handy for the run home again but it's not the end of the world if it can't be done

on T2 set the A B button to Max rpms & it will run flat out on the road, it is up to you if you break it .

we have other farm which is 18 mile door to door . 50 k 40k or little tractor does about 34 k .
by time you pulled in for traffic and a major junction with 4 lots of lights
the time difference between all 3 tractors is about 6 minutes done it dozens of times , even in landrover it’s only about 10. 15 at max
not worth pissing about .
and 40 k is much more relaxed with the sh!t roads

I'm fairly certain that you can change the top speed by fiddling in the LH screen. If it's like mine you might have to wait a few months as the illumination has long since failed.

A B button & change the wheel size in the settings is all that is needed

until the brakes go which they will 40kph is what they were made for if you want 50kph buy one

My 6465 must be the basic model as it actually doesn't have an A B button. What's the procedure for changing the wheel size settings? Does that let the tractor rev out a bit more? Flat out it'll only add another 4km/hr, it goes to 43km/hr at the moment

Our 6465 revs to around 2050rpm in top gear and it'll go to 43k, it'll rev to 2250 or there abouts in 4E. Does your dash read 47k when you go flat out? I know my Speedo is correct as I've GPS as well. I wonder why yours revs higher?

We bought it 7or 8 years ago and it's always been like that .it came with a dyno print out and has 133hp at the shaft so is putting out a fair bit more than it should.and their are no tuning boxes on it.i think it's had a re map .maybe they altered the revs as well.it shows correct speed on both the dash and the gta screen .the dealer thought it may have software from a 6480 loaded as he reconed the pto power was about right for that tractor.its certainly more capable than we thought and manages a 4m top tilth at around 7km

My 6480 teir 3 does 44k but doesnt rev flat out in top gear, its fast enough for me.
My brother in law had a 40k teir 2 6465 did about 53k. It used to fly. He bought it second hand and always reakoned it had had the lap top to it.
He now has a 50k 6480 teir 3 sisu and it goes the same speed.
(Thats been mapped to 200hp by the previous owner)
I prefer mine as standard.
