MF 6470 Tractor

I have taken the MF 6470 apart and removed the clutch and gearbox We have replaced the drive gears and clutch plates in the Dyna shift as they were showing wear and we think was creating the iron fileings in the hydraulic oil We were able to pull out the transmission box in individual sections.
To reinstall the transmission box we had to put all the sections together outside the tractor. A frame was made up to carry the whole assembly to the tractor but we are unable to put it in place because the drive shaft will not allow enough riggle room to get the transission box into the correct position.
Will removing the back end of the tractor give us access to the drive shaft to to allow it to be put in place after the transmission box has been reinstalled, or has anyone got any ideas
Mick
