Swapped the 1/16 nuts for 15 /16 when I sold the 32s from mine :sneaky: the rims were a bit pitted centers ok.

agrr everyone has already sold there 32" rims. It's like the holy grail. My 65 is nearly all painted apart from bonnet, wings when I decided who makes the best quality to buy as mine had the wrong one fitted and then the 32" rims needed for the rear!

Safety fenders ? 12"drop are still an inch too short to reach the foot steps I cut 1 and 1/2 inches off the new ones and added 2 and 1/2 from the old ones .

I have the number plate bracket that goes on the rear of the seat for mk MK2 and has a light on one end. Is there anywhere that produces a sensibel sized number plate? as full size vintage black and silver plate looks a bit big mounted on that, plus if you mount it wrong you can't tip the seat. How was it done originally?

No the mk 1s were all shell type James, It would be sometime in 1963 the long wings started that kit , the 2 L shaped extensions +the 2 hinged guards for the fan area were a company like vap or sparex ,I dont think either of them, similar though.
our 1962 has long wings

These guys https://www.tippersvintageplates.co.uk/ are able to make 'reversed engraved acrylic plates' which can use smaller digits and make a smaller plate.

I just used their 'die-pressed aluminium standard plates 1964-1976' on mine. Maybe a tiny bit larger than ideal but it does have to mount on the two sides of the bracket and you don't want fixing holes too close to the edge of the plate really.

No idea on how it was done originally, however on the Tippers site they do say under the 1964-1976 category that "Many marques decided to use non-standard sizes such as Rolls Royce, Jaguar and Ferrari. Plates were generally 20½ x 4½ or 11 ¾ x 8⅜ using the 3.1/8" digit."

Yes I did. Now just looking for a tidy pair of 32" rims now.....;);)

Oh and randomly a 5/8" x 2 1/2" UNC bolt with a 1 1/16" head (all the modern ones have 15/16 heads grrr)

I know they aren't what you want, but Ive got some 5/8 x 3 1/2 UNF with that size of head, they came from a bloke that used to shift all the "scrap":censored: from the MF factory at Manchester. They are even marked GKNR MF on the heads. No idea what they are off, and I've no nuts for them either

Is there a source of Spindle for the 65 that don't have the machined part for the later dust guard? mike old ones are in the pic below and pic showing what the new ones look like and fitted, which is crap. Back to the drawing board again I suppose!
