MF 690 Steering Column Change to Tilt possible?

Location
Cambridge
Is it possible to do this does anybody know without to much trouble please? I am going through the steering replacing track rods, checking & tightening wheel bearings and setting the toe in and i would like to convert it to tilt.
I have looked in the parts book and the only thing i can see is that the splines look more coarse on the tilt version even though they use the same part number for the "coupling".
Thanks michael

Be lots in breakers due to rotten cabs, the steering was one of the best bits!

What exactly is involved in the tilt bit ? It's only a universal joint and a bracket with a curved slot on the 300 series

All I can tell you is that from studying the parts book, the flanged mounting plate and splined joint are the same part number so I assume it is a straight forward swap over nuts and bolts job.

It makes a big difference we had 2 600s one with and without at that time the only fix was new parts so it never happened I packed the mounting for the orbital to lean the steering back a bit , better still not as good as the adjustable one.
