MF 7495 warning lights

Hi folks,

Looking for some help/guidance with my MF 7495 (05 plate, tier II sisu). I've been having a problem with it before and after serving it yesterday, and was hoping you'd maybe be able to point me in the right direction with it.

When the tractor is up at speed and engine over 1500rpm (like traveling on the road or working in the field, I'm getting a warning on the dot matrix screen saying Error Number 94, and a number of red engine warning lights (inlet air temp, engine oil pressure and coolant temp) as well as the engine grid heater light. I thought looking at things on the forum from other people with similar issues changing the fuel filters may have helped (also checked/blew through with air the fuel line from the tank, and thoroughly cleaned the filter housings) Any ideas what this may be?

Thanks in advance!

Is there anyway of testing the pump or the sensor that gives the error code?

When I bled the fuel filter downstream of the electric pump there seemed to be plenty of flow & pressure coming from the electric pump.

If you have pressure and flow it must be the sensor on the filter head or can be wiring loom chaffing which is common in a tier 2 as they are not cloth wrapped before the condue is placed over top.

Does your tractor have the large water separator bowl below the filters. There is another filter in the top of that unit can cause a restriction. Also worth checking the water sensor in the bottom of the fuel filter.

What's on my 7495 (if memory serves me correctly), the feed pipe from the diesel tank comes straight to the electric pump which has a filter on the electric pump, then onto a filter housing with second filter (not sure of the part no.s or how fine a mesh they are) in line and onto the Bosch Fuel injection pump. There is no actual water trap as such but there is the fitting on the bottom of each filter to let water out.

Just to give an update, after stripping down the fuel lines between the tank and the injection pump, managed to clear the fault/error code. Seen no blockages or debris coming from the pipes when they were getting cleaned so goodness knows where they fault lay. Hopefully this may help someone else in the same situation. Thanks all for your help!

J50 WAT,
I am experiencing the same sort of issue on my 6495.
Tell me did yours dip in power and then raid itself when doing this?
Cheers,
Murray.

The fault just came on out of no where. We started it one day after it sitting for a week or two, and drove up our road and the warning light came on, and would keep coming on when the engine was over 1500rpm and a little bit of load on the engine (roughly traveling over 20mph) Didn't really get the chance to see whether there was a dip in power or not with an implement on or towing a trailer.

I stared by changing the fuel filters and cleaned out the fuel pipes between the tank and the fuel injection pump. This made no difference. Fitted a new pressure sensor onto the fuel filter housing and this also made no difference. Changed the electric lift pump on the filter housing and this made it worse (wouldn't start, think the pump must have been faulty) so put the old electric pump back on.

Eventually took off all the pipes between the tank and the fuel injection pump again, thoroughly cleaned/blew them out (found nothing while doing it) and stuck it back together and the fault code cleared. Can only have been a tiny piece of dirt stuck in a pipe or filter housing that I couldn't see and the air managed to clear it, or the electric lift pump that's fitted (original one) is temperamental.. Touch wood the problem hasn't come back and doesn't either.

Hope this helps.
