Def go for a 7718 over a 76, it’s much more comfortable tractor and easier to navigate the menus if it doesn’t have a datatronic screen, as for problems check the cab springs if it’s the standard suspension they can wear out on a 76 at least not had it on a 77 yet other than that just the usual stuff on any second hand tractor, if it’s a dyna 6 third c range will sh!t itself if you listen to a few on here who love banging the same drum ?

7618 ironically far more reliable than a 7718, have both, they seemed to have it right, then introduced fieldwork stopping problems on the 7 series, then they wonder how they've lost another pile of sales to jd.

Spent a fair few hours in a well specced 7618vt, comfortable and easy to drive. Generally a fairly nice place to spend the day. Not immune to the odd breakdown, probably wouldn't want to run one out of warranty

Only ever spent a couple of days in a 7718d6, and that is enough. Noisy, bouncy and the autodrive is constantly trying to change into a gear you don't want it in. Thoroughly horrible thing to drive, wouldn't really want to run one at all. VT may be a different story.

Would they be dearer than day a 650/65r42?
Just had a quick browse on big tyres. 650/65r42 £2080, 650/75r38 £2800, both trelle. Offset a little by rim, but steel cheaper than rubber. That extra air capacity means the 75s can be run at lower pressure for same load, as well as looking the part.
