Hi

Looking for a new 180-200hp tractor and find MF 77 series to be cheaper than most other brands.
Are they any good? Dyna 6 and efficient spec.

90% field work.

I can´t find any information regarding factory warranty on their website. Only service packages and extended warranty you can buy.

There is plenty Dealers who will provide all the info you need.
If buying NEW its a No Brainer to get the ext Factory warranty which can be upto 5years or 5000hrs whichever comes first.
Probs the best warranty out there, ive had three tractors with it.
If end prices was better & we had perfect weather id still be buying new or ex-demo ones with extra warranty.

Anyone have a 7718 or similar with front brakes that would be able to comment on how effective they are?! 6480 needs it's 2nd set :(

7718 doesnt technically have front brakes..
Like most other masseys they just engage 4wd when braking.
My 5yr old 3550hr from new 6480 brakes are fantastic.
Never been touched.
Its a 40k tractor not 50k mind

I thought front brakes were an option on 7718 Dyna 6 and 4wd engagement was standard? I have no gripes with 6480 braking, good feel and deceleration but got noisy at 1200hrs and brakes were replaced alongside trailer brakes on tanker, just annoying 600hrs later the noise is back!

You must have inferior Tanker brakes or its a really heavy tanker...
Never Rep Brakes on a single Tractor here ever once..
29yr of farming now.
Project Massey 6190's brakes are ni on gone tho aswell as its clutch.
Tractor was like this when i got it tho.
Ive had 14t Trailers the lot on my 6480 & hardly uses its own brakes as 75% of the braking effort is all done by the trailer.

Ive no idea, had 76/77 all on demo's here & still not bought any one of them
sticking with 64/74 for time being.
Where are they gonna fit front brakes on them axles/hubends?
CNH has them in the hubs.

Tractor struggles to brake itself to a stop alone for the past week, the saving grace has been the tanker brakes this week to let us finish slurry! And it's a 2000g tanker, brakes were always effective on it so thought the tractor should have been OK, bearing in mind the 6280 left with 4500hrs and braked like the day it came, put you through the windscreen! On the scheme of things it rarely achieves 50k with a full tank and as a rule I never brake over 40k (unless I have to!) hence the disappointment!

Doesnt sound like you doing anything wrong...
Yeah my 2011 6480 brakes are as good as the day it arrived new.
Very sharp like car pedal brakes.
Id be checking things over more carefully this time.
Dealer doing all the repairs ?
Still very annoying
Looking at Options/Specs on 7718 on Parts Book App
Cant see no front brakes mentioned.

50k dyna-6 really fly at 56k if you want them too
Ive managed without needing that speed to be honest.
The 7499 will do 53k @1700revs but you rarely do it.
1450revs is 46k which saves fuel & tyres !!

With current prices this lady is going to be around for a while so you're spot on, thorough check required but our dealers lost the franchise, it's out of warranty now anyhow.

Aye same here might have to do 10,000hrs mine.
should be good for another 10yrs minimum.
Gap way too far to buy new Tractors now.
Unless wheat jumps to £200+ again...

I just bought a new 7718 Dyna 6. We'll see how it is.

Valtra also have the same system with braking and 4wd. Find it very irritating when doing loader work. The tractor "pops" out of 4wd when you take to foot of the brake and front tires are slightly turning.
