MF 7719 experiences

7499 is a brilliant tractor for the heaviest of jobs anyways.
Recon an 8S will nearly be 3 times the money that cost me at just over 3yr old
It cant add up anymore. my current tractor fleet will hopefully see my farming days out now.
Current higher than expected cereal prices are very welcomed but all the inputs look where there heading & subs dropping
less production is the way the powers that be are pushing us weither we like it or not.
On a Rented Farm this will be yet another new challenge no doubt

There is always squid game for the tenant farmers.

I had a7719s for the summer gearbox is a lot better than D6 ,but not as good as CNH auto command , the low and high range when hauling heavy loads on steep hills is a ball ache.
No Diff on a Fendt but they dont seem to mind
Speedstar will tell us as he has both
Ive not been on many an overly steep incline that needed stopping too drop it into low range mind.
So that doesnt bother me personally

Both mf & fendt are the same 1 gear in the field , 2nd on the road , have never had to change down on the road ever , Fendt is far better in pedal mode but the MF is Ok in it but it is a software thing, exhaust brake on a fendt is good on hills

Why is vario so popular in Finland?
Don't know if it's that popular, but the 7719's sold here were/are varios and black in color. Probably Varios are popular because due to ridiculously expensive workforce (which you try to avoid by buying bigger machinery) you can justify it. Only 2 months worth of salary expenses means ~10000€ out of pocket.

Have driven a lot of the latest Masseys, they're a nice tractor for sure, but still so many rattles and crashes and bangs from the cab over rough ground. How rough some of the gear changes are is quite concerning, including a brand new 6718S with 300hrs, was just as rough as the 6yr old, 6000hrs 6616 it replaced.

I still feel the controls are all over the place and that god forbidden rocker switch for the hitch behind the seat is still there!

I'm obviously biased but I feel the Case is now up there with the best, well laid out simple controls all where you want them, much more comfortable and quiet, just a much nicer place to spend the day.

They do suffer from loose cab mounts easily sorted though and the rocker switch is great once your used to it pull the locking latch up and use your thumb to drop it all done easily one handed

They have been dogged by software problems , screens do not work half the time, good gearbox & engine the rest is a big let down, know one a few miles away & it broke down as soon as it came off the truck
Eyup, the 'I hate Masseys, Fendts are the wway forward' drone is back!!

How you doing Speedstar?

Fendt 724 would be the kiddy to give you more oss in a 7719 chassis - if you have the coin

Quiet? They must of come on a long way from the Puma to be described as quiet! Great armrest and comfy ime, good engine brake, joystick not the greatest but ok. Long armed and lacks lift compared to the competition, noisy back end and dearer than a Massey. Doesn't run separate oil in gearbox and hydraulics a bit of a disappointment.

Neighbours 724 atleast runs in full power on tillage all 240ponies
where as mine is 50 short of that & Massey even fitted the lesser specced Vario Trans in the 19 so maybes thats why.... pound notes likely yet again.
Max lts per hour on 100% load on tillage is 38/39lt
on transport it can hit 42/43lt again at 100% engine load
7499 is 240hp no matter what job its doing, ive not checked its fuel usage tho, quite frugal i actually think & none of this adblu rubbish

You've bought a 10yr old tractor and tell me to keep up? I bought a new 7480 in 2006 (well documented on here) and several more VT's in the following years while you were still breaking powershifts!:banghead: It's taken you a while to catch on, but well done, welcome to the club:p
You must be really hard on kit to knacker a front diff on those jobs

I’ve put nearly 3000hrs on mine, good tractor but with some niggles.
im thinking of changing brands next after 30yrs MF, other makes are better and more comfortable now. The new 7s isn’t much different and I fear massey may lose me. I want abit more power and comfort but still in the same size chassis.
deere and CNH offer you that. The 7719s is starting to fall behind.
The new 8S will offer that.
Model goes from 210hp.
Looks a fantastic tractor and very well thought out
