Does anyone know what fault code 04.01.9E/C means on a 7720s , it changes between E and C same numbers just letters change .

It’s a special code that means operator error. You need to replace the tired old one and get a younger one instead.

It's for the power boost sensor.
C is sensor disconnected
E is irregular reading

We’ve had the same on a 7718, dealer said they weren’t sure on the code, I could feel the boost dropping out all the time, is it possible to disconnect the boost sensor? If so I’d then remap to 200hh hp

I’m guessing it’s one of those magical codes they don’t put in the operating manual/maintenance book

Thanks for the replys , why don't manafacturers do away with boosting and just give you a one hp rated engine of the power you want .
