The 2nd boom we had to buy is abit worn so in a whiles time we will get it pinned and bushed. If we do anything heavier than what we plan we will use the concrete weight, but mostly we will be lifting light things like digger buckets etc
It should be a good loader. a man along the road from us fed a lot of cattle with a similar setup

I have a 188 with a 6ft 6 grain bucket, when mucking out 1 day it decided it was going to break wheel studs I think it did 3 in as many bucket loads so I put bolts and nuts in to get done then new studs asap.

I have a good muck fork and then a crap one which I only have 2 tines in for bales cheaper than a new bale spike

Well, got my 80 loader fitted to the 698 today, only a few odds and bobs to finish, and then plumb it into the DS valves. Ended up not to hard to do, a couple of spacers here and there and extended the frame by 9 inches.. dammed thing is heavy to work with though.View attachment 476370 View attachment 476374
Grand job, looks the part (y) they're damned heavy to work with, just god we had a chain block and pulls to move it

Just need to cut the front cross member off and reweld it as seen in earlier pictures as your loader came from an early 500 series tractor when the lights were lower
