the 700 fendt have very few engine problems most are on a 828
Only second hand info...but i was chatting to a chap from a large contractor firm whilst working on a job out of my normal area, and he said they were having plenty of engine problems on 700 series Fendts. One of the fleet was on its third engine by 4000 hours for example and others were troublesome.
They kept buying multiples of them though.

They probably think it's a sign of weakness if they don't buy a Fendt

Probably still dwelling on what fendts used too be... fendts used too be worth more because they’d run too 20,000 relatively trouble free... now they break just the same as any other tractor
They always have done. They used ZF components back in the day, as did many others. They were one of the first with electronic linkage control and it uses the same components exactly as my Same, made by Bosch.
Marketing and myth are responsible for their reputation more than experience in the field. Anything mechanical or electrical has a finite life and some components will inevitably break down when worked hard. Perhaps they put a bit more effort into assembling things properly than other brands but accessibility to service and especially repair is no better and indeed considerably worse than for some other brands and models.

No. That was the “discounted” price.... but considering this is considerably more than double what I paid 5 years ago for a demo 7726 it “extinguished my desire to swop” extremely quickly
In fairness a discounted price for a completely new model range will always be higher than for an existing newer version of an old tractor range

did well if you got a 7726 for 65k five years ago. You will get more than that for it now if it’s not high hours.
