Hello, looking to run the cab suspension off the air brake system and was wondering what parts would be required to make this work? Any help much appreciated
Is the cab suspension run off its own electric compressor then? I converted my new Holland to air suspension and used a cabin levelling valve (the same type you get on trucks) for this purpose. you can read about it here https://thefarmingforum.co.uk/index...sion-upgrade-for-new-holland-tractors.299452/
I'm still very pleased with. Sounds like davidroberts30 might have your answer though. How’s that going now?
I did exactly the same from recommendation on here the only issue is the red light is always on on top of the switch because I’ve pulled the plug on the compressor. So easy to do and not had a problem since bet it’s been 5 yearsI run mine off tractor air supply, had all parts off erentek
Think off top of head there was a safety valve to stop air system running out of air
A adjustable valve to control the pressure in the cab chambers and some pipework
All parts came to about 70 quid iirc
Mines nearer 7 yearI did exactly the same from recommendation on here the only issue is the red light is always on on top of the switch because I’ve pulled the plug on the compressor. So easy to do and not had a problem since bet it’s been 5 years

This is on a 70, put springs on an 80 that didnt hav on board air, put hoping that the parts to run off air brakes will be cheaper than springsLooking at user name is that on a 6480?
Converting to spring suspension has been discussed on here before, don’t recall anyone mentioning running it off the air brakes.
@masseybreaker do I recall you mentioning the parts needed for spring conversion?
Sounds like what ime after, do you go straight to the air bags from the pressure gauge rather than through the accumulators? Thanks for the helpI run mine off tractor air supply, had all parts off erentek

basically pulled the box from under the cab out and T'ed the 2 accumulators togetherSounds like what ime after, do you go straight to the air bags from the pressure gauge rather than through the accumulators? Thanks for the help
No I believe it’s just a warning light that comes on to show the compressor is not working which it’s obviously not because I’ve pulled the fuse out. All I did was take bung out of air tanks put another one in its place with a pipe going to a regulator and other put into the feed where the cab suspension compressor used to go so that it still has the 2 modeswhat is the light for. Pressure switch? If so, surely You could link out the switch sensor to turn the light off.
MF do a kit for this , we put them on our 6480's years ago and have never been any problem at all , we fitted air brakes and put the cab kits on at the same time , think the kit was £40 or 50 at the time it goes in to the box under the cabHello, looking to run the cab suspension off the air brake system and was wondering what parts would be required to make this work?
