If the losses are on the straw walkers have you got the fishbacks/cocks combs fitted? Our Italian MF comes with them as part of the supplied kit and the UK recommendation is to fit 3 on the second step of the walkers (on walker 1,3,5) and 2 on the third step (on walker 2 & 4) so that they fluff the straw more as it passes over. Not sure if it's relevant on the Danish MF's but it might be?

I'm not at work today as it's still too wet but Google has thrown up this:

These are on a Gleaner walker but are a similar concept to the Activa ones we have, however ours are spaced more than this. The book says the higher risers can slow the straw passage over the walkers slightly, however as you'll be slowing down to reduce losses anyway it's unlikely to have much effect in my view. They also make some flatter risers that can be installed to speed the flow of material over the walkers in very dry or brittle crops so it appears they can influence the straw flow speed to some extent.

Pretty sure I haven't got those, thanks (y)

Going for the longest wait for an answer post
No filler plates in and if its a help, how the flip do you fit them, there's not much room going through the drum door at the front :nailbiting:
If loses is still your problem you don't want them in.
I put front one in if struggling to get a clean sample in barley.
And all of them in for linseed.

I was asking if they were in when your losses were high as they basically block the front of the concave.

Ours has 3. If you can't see 3 out, I'd check if they are in.

They are also very handy for cleaning under the powerflo belts [emoji3]

Had my head in the drum from the front door last night and concave has no plates in 👍

Would any of you Lads have any idea why our MF29 combine goes for awhile and then starves of diesel and when I say a while I mean she might cut 5 acres and then stop, have taken fuel tank off and cleaned it out but still happens!

Is the air intake allowing air into the tank to replace the fuel used, if it is blocked a vacuum might stop the fuel bring sucked out the tank, ours has started to do this although never stopped it yet will need to clean out the cap after we finish, try not tightening the cap too much to see if it helps had a car once that sucked its tank in from the same issue

Our 31 had a pencil filter in the bottom of the tank that was blocked, caused similar issue too what you have, but if you have cleaned the tank out then it's probably not the problem.
