Get one of each on demo, put them against each other, had a 7620 subsoiling couple of years back and pulled like a train, got a 7718 coming here in next couple of weeks on demo.

I’m an mf owner so might be biased but when we priced jd v mf jd was 17k dearer on sf1and one year warranty Mf had 5 year 3000 hour warranty and was on rtk. Say the reliability is the same the mf would be cheaper to run as I doubt in 5 years time the jd would be worth 17 grand more than the mf although I guess it might be worth 10-15 more. Jd was a very nice machine though probably better computer/steering integration into the cab

I had 7722 on demo only a couple of years ago. Compared it to a 14 plate 6210r which I Still own. It Stood quite well. Massey seem to be coming off cheaper to buy. But not by much.

The jd will be more expensive. The jd will be worth more second hand. The massey will be easier on diesel. The massey has a betr engine. The jd has betr controls. Id say go with the mf. Rv pugh has a few 7720 comin in prices startin at 84k. Be worth givin them a call

Hit nail on the head. Depends on your dealer also. I’m glad I’ve bought mf as jd dealer just been sacked

A recent conversation with my JD dealer ended with him saying “you bought the wrong warranty” a fault from new that took them
over a year to fix. Was only £500 but that was not the point. I will be careful with warranty next time round. See a couple more MF around here now.

Would be very careful buying a john deere now. The people you buy it off might not have the dealership in a month or two and you could end up dealing with someone you dont like in order to get parts, servicing etc. They may also be miles away.

You shouldn't have to pay a fortune extra for additional warranty. JD must be only manufacturer only offering 1 years warranty as standard. Shows they don't have much faith in there products.
