Fantastic wee tractors. Their only draw back is when you need to use a heavy implement -- then they go up on their hind legs!

I've a picture of one somewhere that I saw turning hay in Caithness. All the tin work had rusted away or dropped off but it was still doing a day's work!

That sounds about right. Salty air goes for them. I bet it there's still a lot of them doing a honest days work.

We still use one identical to the OP model on a daily basis. Our cab is a bit rustier as it used to be on the fertiliser spreader. But mechanically its still good. Been driving it for 36 years from new, on and off. Still used for mowing on Claas Wm165 mower. Also drives the haybob, IH small baler, circular saw bench, lambing transport box, beet drill, beet hoe, 3 ton trailers etc. A very good tractor for its size. Its had a couple of starter motors, but original dynamo still good. Fuel pump resealed, water pump and radiator but nothing else.

I can remember having a new 135 delivered to the farm where I worked in 1969 wow a bloody foot throttle!! Tool boxes in the wings and all the dials on dash!! No cab mind you!! But that didn't matter I thought I had gone to heaven for sure,I polished that bloody thing regularly!!It was such a nice tractor and still is in my opinion,as they say proof is in the pudding..

Ours certainly does with a set of discs on:)
I still enjoy a spell on it for a change from all the modern stuff, I have had it 20 years I would think, one starter motor, one water pump and last month the alternator. I was thinking of complaining to MF. Nothing to beat it for small jobs, why run around with 150hp on a link box?
