Hi, father in laws MF390t has very worn steering bushes. Does anyone have a parts diagram? Or know the part number. It's the point where the ram connects to axle. It's a while since I looked at it. Want to know part numbers so I can order them from partstech

Just looked at the Agco parts lists and not a mention of bushes at the ends of any of the rams for either 4wd or 2wd axles. Just ball joints..

Oh bugger! Sounds like ram end is seriously worn. It's been like it for years apparently . You can do 3/4 of a turn before it moves wheels. That's fun on road!

Done all that to my 390 last year. Spend 2 k on it. Could turn it before move ment and it was very wobbly on the road so I said here goes.

Took te axle off , rebushed the axle and the ram for a new pin, then took out the king pins, and got new pins made. While at it made new bushes for the axles where the swivel is on it.

Then new hub bearings and seals. Now can barely move the steering wheels and the wheels move. Wasn't that hard if a job to be fair just had to made up a pullers to pull the pins out.

I have plenty of pics and the workshop manuals if you want copy's

you are getting much to involved. just give @Partstech your s/n and he will sort it, although as said, if the ram pin hole is worn there are no bushes but it would be an easy job to bore out the sleeve back down to size and fit a new pin.

Exactly, I just send a message of what I want. Then a few days later a currior arrives. If it's complicated I get a diagram too

Oh well that's OK, took me 30 seconds to pull the pics from Parts Book. At least he's got some pretty pictures when he's chatting with Partstech. The tractor is in Cheshire so its not like he can poke his head around it while on the dog and bone.

Indeed!
It's father in laws so only go up every three months, have while list of other jobs to do while I'm there, also no workshop so very weather dependant!
Although bring 135 back with me next time for complete nut by nut rebuild

@cormywormy digging up an old thread here, was it a 2wd or 4wd axle you refurbished, I have a MF168 2wd which is wobbly

My problem is the ram pin in front of the radiator is worn along with the casting, so rather than mess about trying to remachine casting and fit bushes I was wondering is it possible to upgrade to the 300series system.
