Put this in Workshop Projects earlier but probably should be in here.

Just got an MF 5470 loader tractor to replace a JD 6330. It's different but ok so far. Slight problem that I have is remembering to switch off the beacon as it's constant live. What's the easiest way to change it to ignition fed?

It is a pain in the arse isn't it! The wire to the beacon switch needs to be swapped to an ignition switched fuse, but I have never got round to investigating further.
I have never been able to consistently remember to switch off the beacon when parked in daylight on the yard. Have had to get down from the bedroom in the night once or twice because of the orange flashing on the yard after I put the house lights off.

On my 5410, I removed the R/H panel that the beacon switch is on, found out which one was the permanent live to the switch, and I put a relay in that switched it when the ignition went off. Could of also replaced the permanent live to the switch with another that was ignition switched but that was too easy!!
