Guys looking some advice please?
Looking at buying a new tractor and I’m considering the above.
Basic livestock farmer duties - slurry (1600g tanker on reasonably hilly ground)mowing, carting bales...... nothing to strenuous!
Being told by a few people that the MF is a much superior machine but it would need to be as it’s in the region of £8k more expensive than what would appear to be a more powerful tractor!
Any advice from those of you who own either of the above??
Both dealers are very local and will both give good backup service.

Had a 5713 for nearly 3 years and a 5613 for 3 years before that. Cant fault them at 1000 hours a year doing everything I want it to. The last few times I’ve driven a similar sized New Holland it’s felt very uncomfortable in comparison but you might want to try them for yourself.

We have the red version of the New Holland it is great on the hills with the 6 cylinder giving extra weight in front.

We have a smaller New Holland and the finish on it was terrible from bits screwed on wrong, paint on the arms blistered all outside screws rusted within a couple of months (bad batch) dealer put it right and it is a great tractor now.

T6 will need cab suspension if not already included. You could probably add £8000 worth of extras to the T6 and make it the better tractor?

Get them on demo and see what you think.
We had been all masseys for nearly 40 years until I bought a 5613. Absolutely hated it, knew it had to go from the first week but took over 9 months to sort out a deal in which time it clocked up less than 100 hours as every effort was made not to use it.
I ended up buying a Case Maxxum which I’m perfectly happy with.

I’m sure in many respects the masseys are a better put together tractor but as a complete package I absolutely hated it so whilst I could find an almost endless list of minor niggles with the case, things that massey do better , I wouldn’t change back for any money.

I’m sure a lot of this comes down to personal preference which is why I say get them both on demo,

What did you dislike so much about the 5613?

Couldn’t get on with the gearbox, the hydraulic controls were fiddly, it had 2 manual, 2 electric spools which I didn’t like, the can layout just seemed wrong, everything from the position of the foot pedals to the key in the side pillar, even the trim colour was pretty ghastly.
Compared to my 6200 series masseys it just seemed like they taken many strides backwards.
As I say we’d been all masseys for many years and had stuck with them through a couple of troublesome 6100 series but the 5613 just felt wrong.

On its plus side, it was a better physical size on a stock farm and the engine pulled well. Unfortunately the positives didn’t come close to outweighing the negatives for me .

I had a 10 minute play with a 5712 the otherday, there is a lot of buttons and and the extra lever for the loader didnt seem right after using a normalish layout.( although a lot of things can be controlled from either lever )A few gadjets are ok but it seemd overly complicated for a handy tractor,Mf trying too hard and missing the simple is sometimes better .( perhaps its the computer age everything controlled from one hand like using a mouse .the brand new manitou I sat in was exactly the same!!!!)

Agree completely, I have a 10 year old manitou but from what little I’ve seen of the new ones I will have a good look at the opposition before buying another in hope of finding something better

Had our 5612 5 yrs now , with loader control including gear shift and forward/reverse ,built in on comand arm with two electric two machanical spools . Done over 4500hrs , had new water pump out of warranty but was a faulty batch and dealer stood by it , new battery and a fan switch . True some gizmos ive never used but wouldnt hestitate to buy MF with same spec again .
