Mf6480

Hi.Hi there my neighbour has a tier 2 6480 closed centre hydraulics when you go to operate the linkage with the switch in the console or rocker switch everything work ok but if you use the switch to release the hitch or any of the mudguard buttons you have hold them for nearly 10 seconds before they work either up or down any ideas many thanks

Has it always done this, or is it something that has developed. Some of the new tractors have a time delay on the auxiliary buttons for safety, but I think a 6480 would be before this.

1 of them is breaking down, it might work occasionally instantly it might not work at all some days, my 62 started like this then it got were I had to bang them, banging the 1 in the cab could get them going and it turned out to be the 1 on the rh mudguard I don't know why but it did affect them.
I lived with mine for a year or so and then got a new switch and swapped it. on the tester it works more often than not but its cured tractor. does it also judder like start going up then stop then start all without removing your thumb? also does the correct light show up on the display? mine showed up instantly but linkage didn't move for a delay.

Hi there the switch lights up the panel lights when u press the switch and hold it it doesn't shudder u just have to hold it in 4 about 10 seconds before it works any direction but works fine on rocker switch

I bet one of your buttons is going however I might be wrong because mine only did it on up and it was an up button that was gone.
yours could be an earth fault to 1 set of buttons giving the same problem both up and down?

its not a big job to drop all buttons off to test or I think you can run tractor with them unplugged to see which 1 makes a difference

Have cleaned all earth points disconnected all buttons on mudguard fitted new switch that releases hitch no difference to me it has to be electrical as when I push in either solenoid for up or down it goes instantly
