Not a user but my contractor has a 7278. It seems to go ok and never gives a lot of bother. It's 14 year old now and anything that does go wrong is usually down to fair wear and tear from what I've seen.OK my old 36 is dead. Looking around there's several of these for sale. Just a big version of what I have now, got the spares in stock already. Not huge acres so massively over combined.
Any user views? Users not hearsay please.
Been to see a cerea on a farm with a delta. Kept as backup. Never used since getting the delta. Trading both for a new delta.I can sell you a MF Delta at a very good price. Never goes wrong.
Yes I have. There's a few like that. Lot of combine for the money.http://www.jrfirby.co.uk/showpic.php?id=2909&pic=1 Have you seen this one for sale
Open the panels and it's just bigger than what I am used to. Got tonnes of spares in stock which I've accumulated from other users who have changed brands. Our 7278 Cerea wasn't actually too bad (after the engine blew up and was replaced under warranty).

Plenty of Claas and new hollands blew the engine. Anything can have a failure.Nothing major then! Just a mild inconvenience.

Trailer man playing hide and seek in the darkWhat killed it ?
Our old tf42 Newholland blew its engine this season just gone, they can all fail. Got another engine sat in our workshop to fit in the next couple of weeks so we can get it home. We generally say if you've had a good run with a particular machine you tend to buy another. If the 36 has been good to you then why not stick with Massey?Plenty of Claas and new hollands blew the engine. Anything can have a failure.

The sieves only get chucked out due to a build up of chaff under them. There is a hole each side just behind the fan, if that's kept clear, at least every other day blown out, then there is no problem.I hired one with a 25ft powerflow header with the osr auger 6 years ago for a season after 3 very successful years with a Beta combine. The osr auger was brilliant. The rest of it was poor. The electrics caused problems, the reel fell off, the sieves disintegrated and a pulley fell to bits on the header drive. This was all in 1500 acres.
The sample was good and the output reasonable
I exited my hire deal and bought a lexion
