Mice in combine cab

Bloody mice have been eating the seat in the cab. We sent the ferrets in.

Anybody know if you can get naphthalene moth balls from abroad sent to UK?

I would not worry too much about the seat , it is the wiring is the killer!

I had them in the sprayer cab this winter, gone up a wiring hole that I hadn’t sealed back up well enough, so of course they have gone straight into the wiring box, only luck avoided a right ball ache, peanut butter on a snap trap, 3 mice later, problem solved!

Sticky boards are good at nailing them. Then you can remove the corpse rather than have it fester under the seat.

I assume you want the moth balls to give off a powerful smell to deter the mice?

For our TX, I went to Halfords and got a handful of the strongest smelling air fresheners and used them, one hanging from the radio controls above your head and another one or two in the wiring compartment to the right of the seat. If your shed is good then also opening the fuse compartment above the wheel will remove any trapped moisture and as its open its not so attractive to mice.

I love peanut butter so always got some of that kicking about, I've got a couple of plastic traps, can't remember where from, ages old, but work well

Not sure about Ferrets, but I can definitely advise against using Jack Russells to catch the mice. A friend of mine tried this method in the living compartment of her fairly new horsebox. Cue a full and expensive replacement of all upholstery!

Chocolate raisin on a little nipper mouse trap works well.

What make do you use please?

I’m not sure what make they are.
They come from Hydramex at Brackley, Northamptonshire.

Use the plastic ones from screw fix, baited with peanut butter in the garage, works well.
