No bottled drinks sold everything is in cans even the water, all packaging so plates and cups etc. Has to be compostable.
Obviously the public can still bring in plastic but all the rubbish on site is sorted and recycled if it can be.
Most of that second picture is cans or paper cups and plates.

Not perfect but a lot better than it used to be.
If that's tidy it must have be a sh-t before?

@PiltonVillage How is the clear up going? I drove a slightly long way home between Pylle and Pilton. Apart from a solitary security chap at Worthy and a few piles of fencing etc, not a lot going on. Given the scale of the event I would say they have done well.
I was chatting to someone involved with the human waste side of things. I think he said up to 40 people are working on this during the festival. Two processing sites (Worthy and Steambow) handle all waste. Different toilet waste gets processed differently but most is stored on site until after festival when it is taken away. I doubt any is spread these days on his land. Mr Eavis runs a housed system and would have a fair bit to spread post festival I would imagine.
The traffic locally was surprisingly light this year, massive improvement compared to the 90’s. If only NASS could learn a bit from Glastonbury.
On the whole I think it’s a good thing and long may it continue. Some people will moan whilst others look at it as an opportunity£. Things have moved on a bit from the Goode old days! Best wishes
