Your doing better than I did on my valtra.2500 hours an the fronts are gone backs not far behind.just waiting on prices of new ones. Not trelleborg!!Trelleborg tm700 on our valtra from new and I will stick red hot needles in my eyes before I will have another set. No grip on grassland at all especially as they wear and the bars get wider. Completely bald fronts after 3000 hrs and backs about 10%. Friend had some on a New Holland and had the same problem. He traded his in and specced the new one with bkt and says they are worth double in wear and grip.
They'll just try and wriggle out of it by blaming the tyre pressures your running them at.I replaced pirellis with trelleborgs at 2500hrs,now at just over 3000hrs and the tread on the fronts are almost at 50%
Not happy at all!!!
-is it worth contacting trelleborg or is it not worth the effort?
I had the same with firestone they blamed me for having them too hard 12psi front 15psi rear was too hard for a semi mounted plough they recommended 8 and 10They'll just try and wriggle out of it by blaming the tyre pressures your running them at.
You might get a good deal on replacements. I've been through this with Firestone. They said they'd be out with weigh platform etc to set pressures on replacement tyres to prove they would/could last much longer. Never seen them.
I'd never buy Firestones again. They wear out far too quickly.
Which would you choose? On a new tractor. Any user experiences welcome. Could have Mitas again but happy to pay the extra. Not interested in Firestone. BKT not an option.
Have driven tractors with both on 650/540 sizes. I've never felt too safe on Michelins on banks, whether they've been pumped up too hard but they've always felt very 'floaty' compared to a set of even well worn Trelleborgs, feel they keep their shape better whereas the Michelins seem to start to round.
The Trelleborgs seem to just grip and grip as well. Maybe I've answered my own question but heard about splitting sidewalls on Trelleborgs and that Michelins service is better....
Looking at 600/65/R38 and 480/65/R28
Thanks all!
