Wouldn’t have though lifting machines like that a couple of inches at one side will make a critical difference myself.

I have an axle weigher, a rogue pebble on it makes multi axle results up to half a tonne out, any lifting alters it, at 45 degrees it would weigh Zero, just before tipping over.

Good to see a big company like that giving back to the customer, Tyre pressure is a big thing that most people overlook I have always set pressure for the job, run my pickup at low pressure when not towing or carrying a load for better ride.
If your tractor is on air brakes just get a fitting for a airline and save on the cost of fancy pipes that may get ripped off

Thats not really practical all the time, you dont want to be running around the roads with 6 psi and heavy implements on the back also it takes forever running it from the tractor compressor. I tend to switch mine to road mode coming up the last run, by the time ive cleaned down and folded up theyre back up to 18 psi.

I know it may not be practical but a quick search shows these system are ££££, a airline may be a cheaper option for some people and less go go wrong,

waiting for the full report to come though. i have some good guys working here so i don’t think we are far off but there is sure to be areas we can improve

i think it’s really bought home the import of adjusting between road and field to us all as the differences are big - so we are looking at fitting central tyre inflation systems now !

there is a advanced version of michelin’s new central inflation Zen Terra system called “convoy” being launched soon that we are going to fit to one of our 724’s. - as well as the tractor it also adjusts implement tyres based on GPS location / loadcells and speed
Don't get caught in the long grass, just because they weighed a few bits and pieces for you. No red lights came on, when they started talking sales?

I'm not planning on buying anything at the momnet

But I have always spec'ed Michelin whenever I can anyway, have always got on very well with them over the years and service like this is one of the reasons for that

we adjust using the line from tractor brakes at the moment but that can cost us 30mins plus when we get to or leave a field and therefore wouldn't even bother on shorter road runs spraying etc

I think the payback would be there in a situation like ours in fuel and time saved alone before considering the benefits to soil

If we do it I will try and put some numbers on it all over the year

Who did you contact to get this service?
I've got 2 tractors on Mitchelin's, rate them highly, and am always changing tyre pressures. Unfortunately, I am just guessing, even with the aid of the apps... "Decent bulge in the sidewall, that'll be low enough, steady on the road though..."
