How does the americans on here rate firestone? Seem to be quite popular over there but the 1s they sell here dont last
I wouldn't have another set. We have them on a t6080 with a loader and they have worn away really bad for 1800hrs compared to the set of Michelins with 8000 hrs on a t6050 doing similar work. How does the americans on here rate firestone? I assume you're talking about the radial all traction 23° models? How does the americans on here rate firestone? Seem to be quite popular over there but the 1s they sell here dont last
Never buy snow tyres from a warm climate and never buy summer tyres from cold countries.Michelin is good when the roads aren't frozen, no question about that. Current set has been driven for over 4000h and we're probably swapping them out in next 4 months. Michelins on Case. And yes, they've been slippery from new.

Afaik there not sold here. Whats the problem in doing road work with themI assume you're talking about the radial all traction 23° models?
That is a great tire if all your doing is hard pulling high traction jobs in the field. It is not a road tire.. that is the only Firestone tire I have experience with.
Uneven wear and pretty much melt off in short order. The typical Firestone tire used on tractors over here is simply not a multi purpose tire.Afaik there not sold here. Whats the problem in doing road work with them
Either a maxi traction or a performer. They dont last long and they wouldnt be great grippersUneven wear and pretty much melt off in short order. The typical Firestone tire used on tractors over here is simply not a multi purpose tire.
What tire do they sell in the uk?
Firestone seem to be being put on the back burner while the European part of company push Bridgestone, I have a set of VT tractor on the Bateman and I am impressed so far.Either a maxi traction or a performer. They dont last long and they wouldnt be great grippers
Apologies. Wasn't meaning steer the thread off topic by no means.Seems this one is turning into the Michelin bashing thread. Maybe we should get it merged with the Trelleborg badging thread.
Doesn’t bother me. We now have a Fendt bash thread. Seems we are all very good at knocking something on here.Apologies. Wasn't meaning steer the thread off topic by no means.
Truth of the matter is that even trelleborgs are scarce to atm.
We bought some spares back in the summer and was talking to our tire dealer last week ,commented that if we wanted them now he had no idea when he would be able to get them
