Is Michelin back in business yet or what??
How do you mean ?Is Michelin back in business yet or what??
Lots of tyres are hard to get in the States , I have shipped over a good few container loads in the last few yearsWe can’t get Michelin tyres over here.shortage
They ride and trail down the rd the best imoI've 4 they can have back !
Narrow bloody things
Blimey, I would have thought you would get at least 4 Chinese tyres for the price of a single Michelin.Tires in general are getting harder to find. Popular sizes are no longer recognized or first choice brands. Put a set on my matbro couple of weeks back. Chinese radials were more pricey than Michelin. But we’re available now not possibly sometime in may. Used tires are now more to buy than they were new five years ago if they have 50-70% tread left and good sidewalls
Not quiet written correctly. Last Michelin on I replaced on my matbro was cheaper than the Chinese ones I put on recently. Tire dealer wouldnt even give a price on the Mitchs but said delivery due in three months. Hope the chineses ones lastBlimey, I would have thought you would get at least 4 Chinese tyres for the price of a single Michelin.
Not to mention that they're pretty much useless 6-7 months of the year back here. Well, next ones will be Trelleborg hopefully, they can handle the ice.I've 4 they can have back !

Interesting comment...we've often thought it seemed like tractors we had in the past with Michelin seemed to slip and slide about worse in snow and ice than same tractor with trelleborg. Are you saying you've seen the same characteristics? Not to mention that they're pretty much useless 6-7 months of the year back here. Michelin is dangerous on icy roads, Trelleborg Tm800's handle the same roads very well and i've never felt scared with them. Snow contractors have gone for Nokian, Bkt or Trelleborg, they say that all the money they get goes to buying new mailboxes for people when plowing snow with Michelin.Interesting comment...we've often thought it seemed like tractors we had in the past with Michelin seemed to slip and slide about worse in snow and ice than same tractor with trelleborg. Very interesting. Friend of mine has 2 tractors on snow clearing contract ,one on trelleborgs and the other (same model) on Michelin, he called me after the last snow to see if I thought his fwd ratio was off. Said the one tractor (michelins)was helpless to the point he was questioning whether ratio was wrong.Michelin is dangerous on icy roads, Trelleborg Tm800's handle the same roads very well and i've never felt scared with them. Michelin is good when the roads aren't frozen, no question about that. Current set has been driven for over 4000h and we're probably swapping them out in next 4 months. Michelins on Case. And yes, they've been slippery from new.Seems this one is turning into the Michelin bashing thread. Maybe we should get it merged with the Trelleborg badging thread.
