Has anyone tried micro woodchip with particles between 1 and 8mm or 1mm and 25mm for new crop poultry and would there be any advantages or disadvantages over shavings or sawdust?
We produce a fine ground microchip form virgin material which we are looking to trial on a larger scale in the coming weeks. Moisture content is sub 15% so it is absorbant as well as creating a soft warm bed for the chicks. Our opinion is that the bedding remains drier for longer so creating a longer lasting product which justifies it's slightly higher price.
We are East Anglia based to if you would like to undertake a trial in this region please get in touch with us to discuss in more detail.
You can direct message us on here or call/whatsapp on 07881 904100, our office is currently unmanned to keep our office staff safe during these challenging times but we are fully operational as we supply bedding for the food chain and woodchip for renewable energy power plants.
