Looking at the wire spec for the above grant, it states either 4mm plain mild steel or 2.5mm barbed. On first reading I presumed this to be the wrong way round, (I want to put up 2.5mm high tensile plain and dislike barbed with a passion) however I’m concerned if I don’t fit the wire specified then the grant will be rejected. Anyone any experiences with this?

I think you have answered your own question. The spec is there for a reason if you don't follow it they won't pay up, quite simple really
