I've got the R-Tech unit. They are based in Gloucester and their service and support is superb.

The machine itself is a joy to use. The best bit for me is the wire feed as it is reliable unlike some others I've used which allow the wire to slip.

The unit itself can be used for TIG and MMA so that adds to the flexibility of it all.

Yeah r tech are a very good company. We took a 10 year old stick welder back to them after it got dropped hard and stopped working. They found a loose connector so a easy fix, we asked how much and they said it only took 15mins and didn't charge.

Out of the two options, I would chose the rtec every time, they get excellent reviews and the backup is probably better than well known western brands.
