How often do you say that?? Im a bugger for it. Trying to have bit of a tidy up round yard (FA inspection) and keep to finding things that have seen better days or have been given new lease of life in a new role!!

I know a bucket might only be 85p but why buy one when this still works. .

It's still more bucket than not, and you wouldn't be worried about it as you would a new bucket.
Run a new'un over and it's ruined, run that one over and it aint a whole lot worse

Even when its split all the way down, save it for making plastic washers or something. You never know. We have had a split 1500 litre orange juice tank in the yard for a decade now that is gradually being used up to make plastic shims, washers etc. That's probably why we cant move for clutter and have never sold up. We just couldn't face the job of hauling it all out for the auction.

Tractor tyre inner tubes make handy heavy duty elastic bands.

Think the leather hobnail boots are still somewhere safe to make leather washers for the Lister pump that was sold umpty years ago.

I have loads of bits of foam rubber cow mats about !!! They were on some portable cubicles we have and got damaged down the centre some of them and some have just disintegrated . Great for garden kneelers , mechanicing lying boards ,packing under things , wellie insoles , and generally for packing places that need packing!

I also like inner tubes for washers , laccy bands too

Run the circular saw around the bottom of the drum and up one side and you've made a sheet of stockboard.
