Ideal for throwing At Jehovah’s witness’s like frisbees
Our pet collie loves chasing them, bucket lids not Jehovah's witnesses!
She must have a stash of them somewhere as if you are in the yard with her she will bring one to you and drop it at your feet wanting you to throw it. But if you don't throw it she finds a new one. One afternoon she'd left atleast a dozen of the bloody things that she kept finding!

Here’s a simple one for the drought. I’ve had to move my sheep to field without troughs. I only have two 25l water barrels but been keeping plenty of old mineral buckets.

It’s obvious really but if you fill them they carry 20 litres, key is to keep the lid and clip it on so the water doesn’t bounce out when travelling. Obvious really, but my first trip didn’t have the lids on and wasted a lot of water. Saves buying water barrels. Because elsewhere the flock is on mains never really knew how much they were drinking. Currently ewe and lamb flock of getting through 1.75litres/head day.

Those cans and buckets make useful feeders for game and poultry. Cut a horizontal slot with an angle grinder near the bottom, a bit of heat from a blow lamp, then push the top 'lip' in while it cools. Fill using a funnel or by folding the plastic on a bag. Lots of small feeders are better for game than a few big ones.

Currently on 25 (30l) ex formalin cans a day, all being emptied into old mineral tubs.
37 rams were drinking 250 litres a day but now they have a bathtub on mains (y)

Please recycle all your plastic buckets before they start to shatter like the OPs photo. All the fragments just get into the soil and water and a piece of that in a calfs stomach makes for a very expensive bucket.
