Migraines

I don't get them often but I think it's always stress for me. The first one was in comp school and I seriously wished to be dead with that so serious sufferers have my sympathies. My first sign is usually blind spots. Reading something and you are aware of a white spot just out of vision which isn't there. You cannot fight through it I have found and the only answer is straight to bed in a very dark room for a few hours. Trying to brave it out for me means loss of speech, vomiting and severe pain lasting 24 hours at least.

Interesting article in this weeks Irish Farmers Journal about migraines. Apparently there's different types! Mentions the Migraine Association of Ireland, and the British Migraine Association. Someone has written a book. It's called "Migraine - Not Uust Another Headache ".

Well after over a year clear of them I had one last week, completely floored me. Luckily my boss is very understanding, despite being busy I was taken home but had tingling and blurred vision pretty much the rest of the day. Had a flare up the next day and Migraleve worked a treat! It's still down to my quality of sleep, so been prescribed something to improve it, just for the short term to sort of 'reboot' my system.
