Milk Powder and Calf Machines

Looking for some recommendations for milk powders to be fed to beef calves through a machine. In the past have used a Wynnstay powder skim based for bucket rearing . Wanting to better understand the difference between whey/skim based products and feeding profiles.

Always fed owens sprint 35, works great in feeder and calfs do really well. Simon great chap to deal with and always available for advice

I don't know about calf milk, but for our lambs we went from Volac to Britmilk this year and I found to to be just as good (or possibly better) and it was quite a lot cheaper

Don’t bother reading the label would be my advice I tried a different one on the label would suggest a better milk replacer absolute load of sh!t . Just get one and try it.

Can highly recommend Vitamilk premium from forfarmers.
Changed this spring from a bog standard whey powder that I've used for a few years.
Not a cheap power but the difference in the calves at weaning was massive

I use ForFarmers Vitamilk Omega Gold and found it to be great stuff, it ain’t cheap but you pay for what you get I find. My advice would be to try it for yourself

Avoid anything with non dairy proteins - they are just used to manipulate the cost and not beneficial (one above uses Wheat protein for example). Cheap powders typically use more non dairy and hence why they are cheap.
