It could be true, its just over here there's a lot of stories written about the dairy industry but often the writers base everything on Fonterra's numbers (which they have to disclose) I just wonder how accurate some of it is.Cant find the article now, so for the benefit of this thread.....it came from me tanker driver
wouldn't they still be large enough and have enough geographic spread to be a good barometer? It could be true, its just over here there's a lot of stories written about the dairy industry but often the writers base everything on Fonterra's numbers (which they have to disclose) I just wonder how accurate some of it is.
There's a lot of milk moved that doesn't belong to Fonterra these days.
yeah but they are only playing catchup !Just spoke to the Muller rep and he's sounding quite hopeful for another milk price increase for March, could be circa 2p, but he isn't sure, would be 36p then
Probably be spread over 2 months aswellyeah but they are only playing catchup !
Better than kick in the ballcocks thoProbably be spread over 2 months aswell
Muller boys had plenty of those.Better than kick in the ballcocks tho

Ours was 28p average for 2018 Arla , taking to someone yesterday who is supplying Muller at 29.8p and the same milk would have been 40.2p wit Arla, he's booked to sell the cow's and keep the youngstock for now, not just price is the reason for selling up but final nail in the coffin. As did any Arla suppliers in 2018 (I think) sub 20p while muller was 25p.
You are right. Forget how far behind we were but it wasn’t good. As they say what goes around comes around but it is not good for those who have to suffer and let’s hope for all of the industries sake that the gap is narrowed and not by one coming down.As did any Arla suppliers in 2018 (I think) sub 20p while muller was 25p.
