Hopefully Arla should move ahead before barbers milk price change comes into play.
They are only a small cheese processor 58 dairy farms I think supply them. These types of processors will always pay a bit more to secure their supply in the area they want.

There were 133 suppliers to barbers in July 17. This price increase is just on BF so potentially a lot higher than quoted for high solids producers which most will be.

Hats off to the independents who help keep Muller and Arla on their toes. If only we could have some Government support to keep the supermarkets from getting total domination in the UK.

I dont disagree with this but remember most of the food sold in this country is sold through a supermarket and if the consumer chooses to buy her food there the government are not going to intervene any time soon. We supply a small local liquid dairy who wont deal with the supermarkets after been with sainsburys for 7 years and I couldn't be more happy about that.

apologises there looked to be more on last months league table. I know it is supposed to be circa 160 as of September so perhaps barbers own farms aren't on the league table?

As I posted it I thought the same maybe not including there own farms and there's a heap joining as you said not sure on numbers.

I've dropped back a bit in the last couple of years since moving farm, too many heifers and a few other issues.

Rolling 12 month average on solids is 5.8 and 4 and last season we sold 4200

but your per hec figure would be right up there though ? and not far off a kg of solids per kg of liveweight ?
