tis very confusing

GDT price has gone up but Fonterra's payment forecast is expected to be reduced.
I believe Fonterra has legally got to regularly update their forecast where as the other companies don't.
How much it has to do with milk price I don't know, could be due to them having to fork out 183 million $ to Danone last week.
It is very dry here at the moment though.

For someone who has yet to get 30ppl for a VERY long time this is very disappointing!

I think you have hit the nail on the head . MMB did not go metric litres till 1977

= 4.76p/litre

I just lifted those figures off something that came in today's post but assuming it's the same as conventional those will be

Milk price in about 1978/79 was around 14 ppl and BOCM Gold Label ( top spec dairy cake ) was £140 a tonne. Thats around when I started doing dairy costings , fairly fresh from college.

Also remember inflation rate in 1976 of 26%.

And interest rate hit 15%, beer was about 30p pint and a loaf of bread 20p.

According to one calculator , £100 in 1971 is equivalent to £ 1331 now . Quite a thought.

The Arla website one is just for the privileged few but there's one on the AHDB website that's supposed to run your profile through every contract.

On the AHDB milk calculator theres only a few dairy company you can compare, arla is never on it now, don’t know why.
